These Terms and Conditions govern the use of services offered by Plumbers4Drains (“we,” “us,” “our”). By using our website, booking our services, or accepting a quotation, you agree to be bound by the terms outlined below. These terms are designed to ensure a clear and honest relationship between Plumbers4Drains and our customers.

We provide emergency and non-emergency drainage services across the UK including:

  • Drain Unblocking
  • Emergency Drainage
  • Drain Relining
  • Drain Repairs
  • Drain Installations
  • Drain Descaling
  • CCTV Drain Surveys & Inspections
  • Septic Tank & Sewage Treatment Solutions
  • General Drain Cleaning

 

We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with a 1-hour response time, no call-out charge, and a track record backed by hundreds of satisfied customers.

1. Cancellation Policy

We offer a 14-day cancellation period in compliance with UK consumer regulations.

The cancellation period begins on the date the first deposit is received.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email or our official customer contact form.

If cancellation is made within the 14-day period, we will issue a refund of the deposit, minus any costs already incurred (e.g., materials ordered, non-refundable supplier costs, pre-booked engineer time).

Cancellations made after the 14-day period are not eligible for any refund. The deposit becomes non-refundable at this stage.

Please note: Emergency call-outs or same-day services are considered urgent works and may forfeit cancellation rights due to the immediate nature of the service. This is in accordance with UK consumer law.

2. CCTV Drain Surveys and Report Delivery

We aim to provide comprehensive CCTV drainage reports within 14 calendar days following the completion of your survey.

This includes inspection summaries, photographic/video evidence, and any recommended remedial works.

Delays may occur due to factors such as site complexity, weather conditions, or technical issues.

In some instances, delivery may exceed 14 days, but we will keep customers informed with progress updates.

Reports are sent digitally unless otherwise agreed.

We recommend keeping your report on file for insurance or resale purposes.

3. Deposits and Payment Terms

To secure booking and schedule remedial or planned works, a 50% deposit is required upfront. This ensures commitment of resources including:

Material procurement

Engineer labour and scheduling

Equipment allocation

Deposit Conditions:
Non-refundable outside the 14-day cancellation window.

Refunds requested within 14 days will be processed minus any reasonable deductions for non-recoverable costs.

The remaining 50% balance is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Late or withheld payment beyond 7 days of work completion may result in interest charges and recovery actions.

4. 60-Day Drain Unblocking Guarantee

We offer a 60-day guarantee on all standard drain unblocking services. If the same issue recurs within 60 days:

We will return to re-clear the blockage free of charge.

This guarantee applies only when no additional remedial work was previously recommended or declined.

If our engineer advised repairs (e.g., drain relining, root removal, collapsed pipe repair) during the first visit and the customer chose not to proceed, any subsequent visit will be chargeable.

This policy ensures fairness while encouraging long-term, effective drainage solutions rather than repeat reactive visits.

5. Reports for Insurance and Documentation

We are happy to supply all reports, diagrams, photographs, and summaries for works completed by our engineers.

Customers are responsible for providing these documents to insurers or third parties.

We do not communicate directly with insurance companies or manage claim submissions.

Plumbers4Drains cannot be held responsible for the outcome of any insurance claim, nor delays resulting from claim processing.

We recommend you share all documentation provided by us with your broker or insurer as early as possible.

6. Quotations and Second Opinions

All quotations are based on a thorough site visit, visual inspection, and/or CCTV survey carried out by our qualified drainage engineers.

All recommendations are made in good faith based on current site conditions and professional judgment.

As a customer, you are welcome and encouraged to seek additional quotes or second opinions for comparison and peace of mind.

All quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

Any unexpected additional works required due to hidden issues or changing site conditions will be discussed in advance and quoted separately.

We believe in transparency, and our engineers are trained to explain findings in simple, non-technical language.

7. Service Hours, Coverage, and Response Time

We provide a 24/7 service, 365 days a year, including bank holidays and festive periods.

We aim for a 1-hour response time to all emergency drainage calls, subject to traffic, location, and engineer availability.

We operate with no call-out charge, ensuring you only pay for the work that needs doing.

All engineers are local to your area, DBS-checked, insured, and fully qualified in drainage services.

We prioritise urgent blockages and flood risks, especially where health or property damage is involved.

8. Customer Responsibilities
For us to provide the best possible service, we ask customers to:

Provide accurate information about the problem when booking

Allow safe, clear access to the affected areas

Inform us of any prior drainage work or known issues

Ensure children and pets are kept away from work zones for safety

Make payment on time, as agreed

Failure to disclose important details may delay the job or incur additional costs if unexpected complications arise.

9. Limitations of Liability
While we aim to deliver high-quality, lasting drainage solutions, Plumbers4Drains shall not be held liable for:

Pre-existing faults or hidden defects not visible during the initial inspection

Damage caused by blocked drains prior to our arrival

Delays due to severe weather, third-party delays, or access issues

Property damage resulting from unavoidable excavation or jetting works (where permissions are granted)

Insurance claim denials or processing delays

Customer refusal to follow recommended remedial work

We take every precaution to minimise disruption and will always explain risks before beginning any intrusive work.

10. Disputes and Governing Law
We aim to resolve any disputes amicably and professionally. If you’re unhappy with our service:

Please contact our office by email or phone within 7 days of the job completion.

We will respond within 3 working days to begin an investigation.

All our services are governed by UK consumer law, and these Terms and Conditions are subject to the jurisdiction of English courts.

11. Changes to Terms
Plumbers4Drains reserves the right to update or revise these Terms and Conditions at any time.

The latest version will always be available on our website.
